Forklift Attachments North Charleston - North Charleston (population 97,471) is a city in South Carolina State, United States. North Charleston was not incorporated as a city until 1972. Today it is the 3rd biggest city in the state, and is considered a major industrial and retail center. The city of North Charleston incorporates parts of Dorchester, Charleston and Berkeley counties. The total land area of the city is 198 km2.

The city of North Charleston features a wide variety of museums, historical sites and other public attractions, such as the American LaFrance Fire Museum & Educational Center. This museum features antique exhibits and one-of-a-kind vehicles and fire equipment which date back to the mid 18th century. The Museum is located between Tanger outlet mall and the North Charleston Coliseum.

On display at the H.L. Hunley Museum is a Civil War era submarine, which is known as the worlds very first successful combat submarine. Lifted from the ocean floor during 2000, the submarine is being restored together with many artifacts that were recovered at the site. The museum is situated at the old Naval Base in the city of North Charleston.

There are sculptures of various kinds of ships constructed and serviced at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. These sculpture exhibits are displayed at the Greater Charleston Naval Memorial. The Memorial is located on the old Navy Yard at Riverfront Park.

The Charleston Area Convention Center has brought millions of visitors and guests to the city since its establishment in the year 1999. The facility offers exhibition halls, ballrooms and meeting rooms. The Convention Center contributes a lot to the local and regional economy.

The North Charleston Coliseum is a 13,295-seat venue that is used for local graduations, concerts and special events. It is among the state's biggest venues and home to the South Carolina Stingrays hockey team of the ECHL. The Coliseum is conveniently situated near the Charleston International Airport.

The North Charleston Performing Arts Center seats more than 2,000 and provides an excellent venue for major Broadway shows, world-renowned theatrical and musical performances.

Together, the Charleston Area Convention Center, the North Charleston Coliseum and the Performing Arts Center form an entertainment and cultural complex which benefits the entire region. These facilities are owned by North Charleston.
