Forklift Attachments Irving - The city of Irving, Texas is a bustling metropolis located within the Irving-Dallas-Plano division of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitan area. The city of Irving has an approximate population of around 215,000 residents, according to the latest 2010 census. One of the very first master-planned developments of the United States, the Las Colinas region, is located in the city. There were some other smaller communities that existed withnin the region, like Sowers, Kit Shady Grove, Union Bower, Finley, Bear Creek and Estelle, but they were all amalgamated together in order to form Irving during the year 1903. On April 14, 1914 the city was incorporated officially.

The two original founders of the city of Irving were both working at the Gulf, Chicago and Rock Island Railway. After arriving in the area to survey a railroad route between the cites of Dallas and Fort Worth in the year 1902, they obtained the 80 acres that the British Family owned and began to develop the city of Irving. On the 19th of December, 1903 the very first town lots were bought at a public auction. During 1904, the post office from Kit was moved to Irving.

There are literally thousands of companies in the city of Irving, including six Fortune-500 international headquarters. The city of Irving also features many amazing skyscrapers like the famous Las Colinas and Valley Ranch. These two developments have just gone through fast growth, which makes it a truly desired site for potential inhabitants. There are some business benefits to living right next to the cities of Fort Worth and Dallas. As well, the airport is convenient and near. The only five-diamond rating resort within Texas is situated in Irving.

The Dallas Cowboys played at the Texas Stadium from 1971 until it was demolished in 2008. The area is zoned for a large mixed-used project right beside the State Highway 114. Forest City Enterprises, which is the lead developer on the project, is presently rehabilitating the Mercantile complex situated in Dallas. They intend to refurbish it into a Rockefeller Centre-style multiple-use project.
